Senior Research Engineer (201202-RD-04)
Description
Conduct research on fluid flow and mass transfer in membrane modules using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, as well as modeling of membrane processes using a commercial simulation package. Write computer code to update custom membrane process simulation tools. Develop a CFD simulation of pressure drop and flow distribution in a countercurrent sweep spiral-wound membrane module. Design the membrane flow channel geometry and module configuration to optimize trans-membrane mass transfer while minimizing pressure drop that contributes to parasitic energy losses. Utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills.
Requirements
Requires PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field and six months of work experience in job offered or in computer research scientist-related occupation.
